Hello everyone! Pumpkin had his X-rays today. Dr. V says that he is pleased with the progress that the joint is making. At this point though, we want to keep the splint & bandage in place. Pumpkin's weight is stellar, no infections present & we are just biding time until that joint finishes healing. The vet tech reports that Pumpkin even got to clean his front paw a little bit for the first time in a LONG time today.
We were afraid that he was going to be a pill at the vet today because when we were trying to put him in his carrier Pumpkin was less than thrilled. There was loss of hissing and trying to get away, which rarely happens, but eventually he got tired and resigned himself.
We wanted to the cloth E-collar this time around because the plastic one always gives him trouble using the box & eating. However, the vet is concerned that Pumpkin can get around it. So, it is back to a shorter Cone of Shame. I can't wait until he is rid of it!
That is all the updates for now. Thank you for all your warm fuzzies and prayers. XOXO.
